Studio Mehta Architecture is an award winning Nairobi-based practice established by Amar Mehta in 2019.

The practice is committed to the delivery of innovative and ambitious designs that actively contribute to the development and improvement of our built environment. 

Working both locally and internationally on a diverse range of research led, art and architectural projects, Studio Mehta Architecture is a culmination of rigorous thinking and analysis, brought to life through prototyping, testing and making. 

Amar Mehta completed his undergraduate degree at the University of San Diego, where he graduated with First Class Honors and received the Exceptional Performance in Architecture award for his senior thesis, "Creating Kibera". After pursuing his master’s degree at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London – receiving both the technical and thesis award for his project, Re-thinking the Lot, Amar had the privilege of working for award winning firms in the United Kingdom, Spain and Germany.

Prior to establishing Studio Mehta Architecture, Amar trained with globally recognized firms, Farrell's and later with Foster + Partners.
