The Casa BP Residence exists as a tangible dialogue between nature and the man made. The home emerges from the distinct landscape and provides a sculptural extension to the vivid terrain.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Defined by energy, flow and balance, the Casa BP residence form emerges from a deep understanding of the internal happenings - governed by ancient Vastu Philosophy. This, coupled with the sites undulating terrain allows for the modern courtyard home to have a constant dialogue with nature, whilst providing all the components for healthy and mindful living.
Whilst the site plan is governed by natural features and constraints, the home on the other hand is designed around a central, sloped and sunken courtyard, anchored by natural stone walls. With this, the various spaces not only benefit from passive ventilation and curated light wells, but in doing so, the home also allows the various residents to escape into their own private ecosystems - tucked away from gazing eyes.
The Public Realm is defined by a sequence of landscaped pathways that meander through the site - allowing for privacy and exclusivity, and a chance to explore the steep terrain and landscaped gardens.
